MI vs PBKS: Batting first against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 23rd match of IPL 2022, Punjab Kings (PBKS) scored 198 for 5 wickets. For Punjab, openers Mayank Agarwal (MAYANK AGRAWAL) and Shikhar Dhawan (SHIKHAR DHAWAN) batted brilliantly. Both shared 97 runs for the first wicket in 9.3 overs. Mayank Agarwal was dismissed for 52 runs in 32 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 6 fours, while Shikhar Dhawan played an innings of 70 runs in 50 balls which included 3 sixes and 5 fours. It was a bit disappointing for Punjab that Jonny Bairstow and in-form player Liam Livingstone did not work. Bairstow was dismissed for 12 while Livingstone scored 2. But in the last over, Jitesh Sharma’s 30 runs in 15 balls and Shahrukh Khan’s 16 runs in 6 balls, Punjab managed to score 198.

Mumbai bowlers disappointed. In the beginning of the innings, Mayank and Dhawan slammed the Mumbai bowlers, and in the end, Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan scoffed at them. Basil Thamfi’s 2 and Unadkat, Bumrah and Murgan Ashwin got 1-1 for Mumbai.
