Chasing a target of 143 runs, Punjab Kings beat Gujarat by 2 wickets by making 145 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 16 overs. Shikhar Dhawan 62, Bhanuka Rajapakse 40 and Liam Livingston 30 played an important role in Gujarat’s victory. Liam Livingston gave Punjab a Royal victory by scoring 28 runs in 6 balls in the 16th over. Liam Livingston hit Gujarat strike bowler Mohammed Shami for three consecutive sixes, besides hitting two fours in the over. This was Gujarat’s second loss in 10 matches while Punjab’s 5th win in 10 matches. Punjab has moved to the 5th position in the points table while Gujarat is at the first position.
