The Premier League lasts six months a year
Ashwin said on his YouTube channel that Lawrence Booth has taken a jibe at the IPL schedule by tweeting. He said that this league takes one-third (sixth part) of a year. There is also the English Premier League. It lasts for six months. However, in that players get some time between two matches. He plays one or two matches in a week.
IPL has the potential to take cricket to a different level
Of course, it is difficult for cricket to reach that level (football) right now. There are many question marks on this as well. However, IPL is a league which has full potential to take cricket to that level. All cricket fans, spectators, cricket playing countries and stakeholders already know this. Due to this IPL, the rest of the format of international cricket or world events can also be shortened.
This time Ravichandran Ashwin will be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL. The Rajasthan team has bought him in the mega auction by bidding for Rs 5 crore. Ashwin was seen playing for Delhi Capitals till last season. The Delhi team did not retain him. Ashwin has played 167 matches in IPL so far, in which he has taken 145 wickets.
